July 11th, 2017 - LEMO celebrates the success of its innovation program “Shape the Future Challenge” which was selected from 18 projects as a finalist in an annual CiMi.CON competition. The CiMi.COM Award honors and celebrates outstanding projects, strategies, tools and process innovations in Competitive and Market Intelligence.
As one of three finalists, the LEMO team flew to Berlin to pitch their project to the CiMi.CON panel and 150 attendees. “Once we arrived, it was great to discover that the other finalists were Pepsi Co. & Phillips Healthcare,” said Mathieu Menet, Innovation Manager. After a three-minute pitch by each finalist and a live vote by the audience, Mathieu said, “We were honored to discover that LEMO won the CiMi.CON Award 2017!”
LEMO chose to enter this competition to test their “Shape the Future Challenge” against other programs from highly respected companies. The challenge encourages cross-functional collaboration and enables employees to openly express, test and improve upon their ideas. Through this project, the LEMO Group was able to share their knowledge on fostering a culture of innovation by building off of their colleagues’ strengths.
In addition to a first-place trophy, the LEMO team also received 1,000 euro, which was donated to the charity organization GermanNow! that helps immigrants and refugees learn German.
