National Manufacturing Day

The first Friday of October marks National Manufacturing Day, which is the celebration of modern manufacturing to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Facing a labor shortage in the industry, the goal of the day is to increase awareness of what modern manufacturing is, and almost more importantly, what it isn’t!

CAP Program

The CAP Program partners with local high schools to host student interns interested in engineering, production planning, purchasing, and sales.

College and Tech Internships

In addition to high school interns, Northwire works with local colleges and tech schools to bring interns looking to gain hands-on experience. Internships have been beneficial for both parties. Northwire introduce up-and-coming talent to cable manufacturing and students see if they would like to pursue a career in this dynamic industry!

Bring Your Child to Work Day

Bring your child to work day is another great way to introduce the many career paths in manufacturing to the next generation. Northwire typically hosts a day for team member’s children in June for a fun filled day of engineering challenges, team building activities, and a tour of the facility including an intro to all the different roles that are required to keep product running and our customers happy! Learn more about Bring your child to work day.

Northwire celebrates manufacturing throughout the year by promoting this dynamic industry to the next generation.
