Fieldbus Foundation Releases New H1 Cable Specification

In late November, the Fieldbus Foundation released a new cable test specification for Foundation H1 cable. The new specification clarifies some old issues from the former specification. It is based in IEC61158-2:2003. The new specification is known as Document FF-844. For more information on this, see the news release from The Foundation. A recent headline on Fieldbus Facts Online newsletter for December 2007 (go to http://www.controleng.com/article/CA6512744.html#05 ) states: ��?Free download: H1 cable test specification available. This is a bit misleading. You have to be a FF member to download the spec.
