Northwire Provides an Innovative Solution for the Osceola Fire Department

The Osceola Fire Department located in Osceola, WI – provides fire suppression, fire protection, and rescue services to the Village of Osceola, the Town of Farmington and part of the Town of Alden. The Department is made up of 27 dedicated paid-on-call professionals and is listed in the top 25% of all departments in the country.

The Osceola Fire Department wanted Northwire, Inc. to design a custom CoilBoss™ Retractile cable for an auto eject power cord for their emergency fire and rescue vehicles. The Retractile Cords needed the cable to extend 15 feet and retract up to 3 feet. Also, the Osceola Fire Department wanted the cable to be lifted off the floor so they could easily mop and for it to spring out of the way of the vehicles when they were started and the auto eject cord was activated.

Northwire took the requirements that the Osceola Fire Department was looking for and designed a custom CoilBoss™ Retractile Cord that met all of their needs. Northwire also created a custom legend as well as a custom jacket color to match the Osceola Fire Department’s trucks.

With this new and improved auto eject CoilBoss™ power cord – the Osceola Fire Department is able to quickly exit the fire house without the cord causing problems or getting in the way.
