Osceola, WI -- January 3, 2005 -- Northwire Inc. has announced the opening of a new custom cable manufacturing facility in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. This facility is strategically situated next to one of Northwire's copper suppliers and geographically closer to many of its customers located in Mexico and the Southwest.
Continued growth in the custom industrial and medical cable markets has resulted in consistent growth for Northwire and the move to establish a new facility is in direct response to demand for custom products in small volumes delivered quickly. "It's all about logistics and time to market. While many of our competitors take 4-6 weeks to deliver products, our new operation will offer many custom products on a same-day basis and 4 day lead times on made-to-order cables," said Linc Duncanson, Northwire's C.O.O. Locating much closer to a primary supplier and a growing customer base equates to reduced shipping costs for raw and finished materials and reduced lead times for product, Duncanson also said.
