OSCEOLA, Wis. — April 6, 2007 — Northwire, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rugged cables for tough plant environments using networked discrete automation and control, has introduced DataCELL FIELD Profibus DP cables.
DataCELL FIELD Profibus DP cables are constructed to comply with Profibus specification EN50170-2-2:1996. The new product line includes several exclusive versions: ITC/PLTC-ER cable for factory floor installations, AWM cable for machine builders and OEM applications, and marine/shipboard cable.
ITC/PLTC-ER cable is exposed-run rated, eliminating the need for conduit when installed in accordance with recent NEC amendments. This cable is UL listed and rated for CSA CMX-Outdoor-CMG and FT4.
AWM cable is ideal for machine-tool applications, packaging machinery, conveyor systems, robotics and other machinery where a rugged UL-approved, RoHS-compliant cable is required. This cable has an extremely rugged PUR outer jacket and has superior resistance to oils, chemicals, cuts and abrasions.
Marine/shipboard cable is arctic rated for use to –60 degrees Celsius. It has a tough TPE outer jacket and is UL listed 1309 marine/shipboard. This cable also is available in an armored version.
The cable jacket is resistant to oil, sunlight, ozone and water, and is offered in industry standard violet jacket or other colors.
DataCELL FIELD Profibus DP cable is shipped directly from the factory and is available in bulk quantities of 1,000-feet minimum. It can be shipped from stock in 10 days or less.
