Northwire introduces Lument™ custom cable for decorative and architectural lighting

OSCEOLA, Wis.— July 26, 2007 — Northwire, Inc. has introduced Lument, a line of made-to-order cable for decorative and architectural lighting. The line includes cable for indoor and outdoor applications in custom colors, fabrics and finishes.

Custom looks include custom color matching, fluorescent colors, holographic glitter, shiny and dull finishes, metallic effects, glow-in-the-dark, woven covers, and clear jackets with inner components visible.

Northwire will produce proprietary designs for lighting designers and manufacturers.

“Our experienced engineers work with customers to ensure that designs meet their unique needs,” says Ted Beach, director of sales, Northwire, Inc. “This facilitates a development process that is more efficient and cost effective, but still focused on design excellence. Custom cables do not necessarily equate to expensive cables,” he emphasized.

Lument is available in round, oval and flat cable; high flex-life and flexible (limp) designs; and retractile cable in customer-specified retracted and extended lengths, coil diameters, base cable designs and finishes. Cable can also be configured with strength members to improve tensile strength.

Construction options include underwater (waterproof) and water-blocking, outdoor-rated and UV-rated.
